In celebration of Co-op Month, NCB organized a cooperative learning journey. Twenty Five employees from NCB participated in visiting 8 co-op organizations throughout the DC Metro region. They included: National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC), ACE Hardware, Credit Union National Association ( CUNA), Shoprite, Greenbelt Homes, New Deal Cafe and NCBA. "Educating our employees about cooperatives and how versatile the co-op model is very important to the mission of NCB", stated Chuck Snyder, President and CEO of NCB. "The journey offered great exposure of the different groups co-ops serve and their commitment to their community."
