National Cooperative Bank Releases 2025 Mission Report Highlighting Cooperative and Community Development

Arlington, VA (April 08, 2026) — National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial services company dedicated to supporting cooperatives and socially responsible organizations nationwide, committed $561.5 million in 2025 to initiatives serving low- and moderate-income communities and to the development of new cooperatives.

NCB’s mission is to support and be an advocate for America’s cooperatives and their members—particularly those in underserved communities—by providing innovative financial products, strategic investments, and related services. In 2025, the bank’s capital deployment supported a wide range of sectors through direct lending and targeted investments:

2025 Cooperative & Community Development Highlights

  • Alaska/Native Organizations: $3 million
  • Credit Unions: $31.7 million to low income or community development credit unions
  • Housing: $217 million for affordable cooperative housing, low to moderate income mortgage loans, and FHA loans nationwide
  • Food Access: $11.8 million to expand access to healthy food in communities
  • Healthcare: $16.1 million supporting healthcare and aging services providers
  • Non-profit & Community Development: $38.7 million for commercial real estate and organizations focused on economic development
  • Renewable Energy: $199.1 million to finance commercial and community solar projects
  • Small Business: $9.2 million to support small business growth

In addition, NCB provided $3.0 million in contributions, investments, and grants to organizations advancing cooperative and community development, along with $31.9 million in facilitated transactions.
