Georgia Market Remains Family-Owned as New Owners Continue Legacy of Community Service

Arlington, VA (June 17, 2025) — National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial institution committed to supporting cooperatives and socially responsible businesses, is pleased to announce the successful closing of a $3,134,000 SBA 7(a) loan to Wesley Enterprises for the acquisition of Georgia Market located in Georgia, Vermont.

Georgia Market, a cornerstone of the community for nearly two decades, will continue its tradition of providing essential goods and services as it transitions to new ownership. Since opening in 2005, Georgia Market has been the only grocery store in the area, offering a full range of groceries, including an in-house meat department, bakery, and deli. The business also includes an associated gas station and self-service car wash.

The store’s longtime owners, looking forward to retirement, chose to sell the business to close friends, ensuring it remains family-owned and continues to serve the community with the same dedication and care. The transition marks a new chapter for Georgia Market while maintaining its commitment to quality, customer service, and community involvement.
