# National Cooperative Bank joins the Global Alliance for Banking on Values

 Arlington, VA- (May 2, 2018)- National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial institution dedicated to providing banking solutions to cooperatives, their members and socially responsible institutions nationwide, is pleased to announce that it has joined the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV). The GABV is an international not-for-profit foundation and network of banking leaders from around the world committed to advancing positive change in the banking sector.

The GABV is currently made up of 48 financial institutions including eleven U.S. based banks and credit unions. The collective goal of the alliance is to change the banking system so that it is more transparent, supports economic, social and environmental sustainability. Members of the GABV all share a common mission to use finance to deliver sustainable economic, social and environmental development.

“We are honored to join the Global Alliance for Banking on Values”, said Charles E. Snyder, President and CEO of National Cooperative Bank. “Our institution was chartered with a mission to support cooperative development and financing to low and moderate income communities nationwide. We are excited to join a network of like-minded and socially-conscious banks that share our mission and our values.”
