National Cooperative Bank Provides $200,000 in Grants to CDFI’s Serving Low-Income Communities and Cooperative Development

Arlington, VA (January 23, 2020) — National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial services company dedicated to providing banking products and services to cooperatives, their members and socially responsible organizations nationwide, committed $200,000 to initiatives serving low-income communities and worker cooperative development.

NCB is pleased to support the following on their continued efforts to help develop and finance small businesses and worker-owned cooperatives:

• Cooperative Fund of New England, Inc.
NCB awarded CFNE with a $50,000 grant to support the education, outreach, creation and development of worker-owned cooperatives.

• Local Enterprise Assistance Fund
NCB awarded LEAF with a $50,000 grant to support the education, outreach, creation and development of worker-owned cooperatives.

• Shared Capital Cooperative
NCB awarded Shared Capital Cooperative with a $50,000 grant to support the organization’s lending to worker-owned cooperatives.

• Appalachian Growth Capital
NCB awarded AGC a $50,000 grant to support the growth of small businesses in the Appalachian Region of Ohio.
